Pendulums and Divination

Pendulums have been used for divination for thousands of years across cultures worldwide. They are used to find answers to illusive questions and can be helpful in confusing moments. Pendulums respond to subtle shifts in energy. Acting as both receiver and transmitter, the pendulum communicates wisdom from unseen influences. Typically, pendulums answer yes or no questions, but they can also clear negative energy, locate lost items, and find water sources, similar to dowsing rods.

Most of our crystal amulets are designed with pendulum work in mind, as the more you wear them, the more connected you become to the piece. Which in turn means you get quicker, clearer answers to your questions.

How does pendulum dowsing and divination work? 

Dowsing taps into your intuition, helping you access answers which are hidden deep within. The practice can harmonise the energies of the right and left sides of your brain, and in turn offer a shortcut to clarity. On a deeper spiritual level, pendulums can be used to connect with spirit guides, guardian angels, and other unseen forces in the world.

To use your pendulum, start by holding it in your palm for a moment to connect and create an energetic bond. Hold the pendulum between your thumb and index finger of your dominant hand and sit still. Then, establish your yes and no responses. 

Hold the pendulum above your palm and ask the question, either out loud or in your mind ‘Show me a yes’. Then wait for the pendulum to move in one direction or another. This is usually clockwise or anti clockwise but sometimes it can also be up and down, or side to side. Next, ask ‘Show me a no’. Make a note of these.

You can then ask simple questions like ‘Is my name...?’or ‘Is it day time?’
This will help confirm your yes and no. 

Sometimes, if the answer to the question is not available, the pendulum may move in a third direction, which may be in a straight line rather than a circular direction. Usually this means ask another question. You can clarify this using the pendulum. 

Keep practising regularly and you’ll soon become very attuned to your pendulum and in turn receive fast and clear answers to your questions.
